The much-anticipated PACE in a Box toolkit is now available on the Keepingpaceintexas.org website. The toolkit, which aims to aid in the creation of local PACE programs across Texas, creates an orderly, uniform, and standard process to implement PACE.
The organization, Keeping Pace in Texas, is a non-profit business association organized for the purpose of promoting the Property Assessed Clean Energy Act. The manual is a culmination of six months of research and thoughtful deliberations. It contains all of the design elements, documents and implementation steps necessary for a local government to establish an effective PACE program quickly and economically. This standard method of implementation will encourage the growth and success of PACE in Texas.
PACE in a Box is user-friendly, sustainable, and scalable. The manual is a true Texan creation because it offers protocols for stakeholders, but also the opportunity to tailor those protocols for each jurisdiction. In other words, counties and municipalities will be able to customize the program to fit their needs. With this kit in hand, local governments won’t have to worry about the confusion that comes with the launching of new programs, but can instead focus on securing a faster, more successful implementation.
