The day began early for Jennifer Hinojosa, Marketing Manager for Way Companies. After months of planning, the Holiday party had finally arrived and the marketing team needed to make sure the event went off without a hitch.
Way Companies held its annual holiday party in a newly renovated office building. Employees and their families filled a large conference room with merriment as they celebrated the holidays. The food was true to Texas. Caterers provided chicken and beef fajitas with Spanish beans and rice, savory tamales, and chips and queso.
The party was a family-friendly affair and the marketing team made sure the employee’s children were kept entertained by planning different activities. Children participated in making crafts, playing video games, and making use of the bouncy-houses that dotted the parking lot.
At one point, Santa Claus made a surprise appearance. His presence excited not only the children, but also their parents. Kids were given the opportunity to jump on Santa’s lap and tell him what they wanted for Christmas. Afterwards, a picture of their time with Santa was taken as a memento and each child was given a small present.
The party culminated in an award ceremony and prize raffle. Lindsey Graham, Calley Pace, and John Riekert were awarded by David Cooper, Vice-President of Way Companies, for their outstanding service to the company. A raffle with an ‘Ugly Christmas Sweater’ Competition concluded the party. Hinojosa was proud say that the event was a hit. “It was a huge success. Employees and their families told me they had a great time and I couldn’t be happier.”
